FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - A News Conference will be held at 9:30 a.m., Monday, Sept. 11 to announce a $2.5 million grant for a University of Arkansas-led research consortium on antioxidants and other medicinal compounds in food crops. This conference was originally scheduled to take place last week, but was postponed due to the campus' emergency situation.
Location:
- Food Science Department Auditorium, 272 Young Ave. From North Garland Ave, turn to the east at the Food Science Department sign 0.1 mile north of Agri Park. Then left on Young Avenue. The auditorium is in the one-story south wing of the Food Science Building.

- UA Chancellor John White
- Dean Charles Scifres, Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences
- Dr. Luke Howard, Food Science Department: Lead author of successful grant proposal and a principal investigator in the antioxidant research project.

- Extraction of antioxidants in Food Science lab.
- Research vineyard with grapes that have exceptionally high levels of antioxidants.
