Luncheon Honors Endowed Chair Holders

University of Arkansas Chancellor G. David Gearhart hosted a private luncheon to honor faculty members holding endowed positions. The luncheon took place Friday, Aug. 22, at the Janelle Y. Hembree Alumni House.

Peggy Parks, together with her late husband, Donald, and other family members established the Parks Family Endowed Professorship in Science and Technology Education and two endowed scholarships. At the luncheon, Mrs. Parks, a teacher for 30 years, expressed the joy she has experienced in providing funding and resources for university faculty and students.    

More than 100 faculty members hold endowed positions at the University of Arkansas. Interim Provost Bob McMath introduced 19 new holders, who were presented with university medallions by their prospective deans.
