FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Renee Brida of Little Rock is the new director of planned giving in the office of university development at the University of Arkansas. She reports to Jim Harris, executive director of estate and gift planning.

Brida joins the development team following nearly five years as an estate planning attorney for Haught & Wade LLP in Little Rock. Previously, she held fundraising positions for EAST Inc., Pulaski Academy and Arkansas Children’s Hospital, all organizations in Little Rock.

“Renee’s experiences as an attorney and as a development officer make her the ideal candidate to lead the office of planned giving,” said Harris. “She understands the importance of raising private gift support and working with our alumni and friends to create plans that work best for each unique situation. I have every confidence that she will do an outstanding job building new relationships and taking the university’s planned giving efforts to the next level.”

Through her various fundraising positions, Brida was responsible for cultivating major gifts, running an annual fund campaign, planning and executing special events, developing a planned giving program and providing legal counsel on matters related to organizational processes.

“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to serve the University of Arkansas as the new director of planned giving,” said Brida. “Planned gifts to the university are vital to the long-term financial stability of the organization. I am confident that I can help the University of Arkansas attain these planned gifts.”

Brida holds a bachelor’s degree in English and psychology from the University of Texas in Austin, and she earned a Juris Doctor from St. Mary’s School of Law in San Antonio.
