FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Arkansas Headliner Concerts Committee will present Third Eye Blind live in concert at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17, at Barnhill Arena.

Student tickets provided through the concerts activity fee will be available to currently enrolled students while supplies last beginning at 7:30 a.m. Oct. 20 in the Arkansas Union Ballroom. Students will be able to pick up two tickets with two valid student IDs. Tickets will go on sale to the general public beginning at 10 a.m. Oct. 24 through www.ticketmaster.com, all Ticketmaster outlets, or by phone at 866-448-7849.

San Francisco-based group Third Eye Blind scored its first hit in 1997 with its debut single "Semi-Charmed Life." They built upon that success throughout the following three years, releasing a number of successful singles including “How’s It Going to Be” and “Jumper.” After taking a break during the early 2000s, the band returned in 2009 with its fourth studio album, Ursa Major. Emotional, reflective, aggressive and sometimes outwardly political, Ursa Major features some of the most intense music of Third Eye Blind’s career.

The Associated Press hails the album as "a musical gem" and “a fine line between aggression and a deft pop sensibility. … Jenkins' lyrics juxtapose poetry with profanity, anger with longing and big world issues with the personal. … Third Eye Blind hasn't forgotten how to lay down a strong record.”

The Headliner Concerts Committee is a student-led organization created by the Associated Student Government and approved by the university’s student body to bring major name acts to the University of Arkansas campus. Past concerts include John Mayer, Foo Fighters, and T.I.
