Security Arrangements Announced for Former Israeli Prime Minister's Lecture at University of Arkansas FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Ehud Olmert, former prime minister of Israel, will present a free public lecture at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27, in Barnhill Arena as part of the University of Arkansas Distinguished Lecture Series. The public is welcome and no tickets are required. The doors on the north side of Barnhill Arena will open at 7 p.m. Because of security concerns, each person entering the arena will be required to pass through a security checkpoint. Please allow extra time for this preventive measure. Cameras, handbags and other personal items will be checked. Signs, banners, posters and noise-makers will not be permitted inside the arena. Pocket knives or any item that might be used as a weapon will be confiscated. No large bags, backpacks, strollers or baggage will be allowed into the building. People with disabilities or special needs will be able to enter through the south side doors to the arena, and will also be required to go through a security checkpoint. Those attending the lecture are asked to treat Mr. Olmert and all others in attendance at the event with courtesy and respect. Anyone disrupting the lecture or the question and answer session will be escorted from the event. Free parking for the event is available at most university parking lots after 5 p.m. except for Resident Reserved lots and other restricted spaces. Paid parking is also available at the Stadium Drive Parking Facility.
