SECOND-YEAR STUDENTS WIN LAW SCHOOL NEGOTIATIONS COMPETITION Tracy Oates, a second-year student from FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Tracy Oates, a second-year student from Fayetteville, and Darlene Weston, a second-year student from Monett, Mo., captured the University of Arkansas School of Law's recently completed 2004 American Bar Association's Negotiations Competition.
The competition involved teams working to successfully represent a client's interest in a settlement negotiation with opposing counsel. Local attorneys and faculty members served as judges for the event with Professors Sharon Foster, Robert Moberly and Judith Kilpatrick judging the final round.
