School of Law to Host Panel Discussion on Post-Election Iraq

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - The Federalist Society of the University of Arkansas School of Law will present a panel discussion, "Iraq and After: American and Global Security After the Election" at 4 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 27, in the Leflar Law Center courtroom.

Panelists for the event will include the Hartman Hotz visiting professor of law and liberal arts, Henry B. McLeish, a former member of the cabinet of the United Kingdom and first minister of Scotland. Along with McLeish, other panelists will include Vincent Cornell, director of the King Fahd Center of Middle East and Islamic Studies; Steve Sheppard of the law school; Kenneth Hansen, a specialist in terror and security; and Don Kelley, a specialist on Russia from the department of political science. Professor Uche Ewelukwa of the law school will moderate the discussion, which is open to the public and the media.

The Federalist Society is sponsoring the event in conjunction with the Fulbright College of Arts and Science, the Hartman Hotz Trust and the International Law Society at the School of Law. A reception will follow in the law school, to which all attendees are invited.
