Funded by the National Science Foundation as well as industry partners, it later evolved into The Logistics Institute. Parker has received the Halliburton Award for Excellence in Research in Industrial Engineering and was the College of Engineering nominee for the University of Arkansas Burlington Northern Foundation Outstanding Teacher Award. She has twice received the Outstanding Industrial Engineering Professor from the student chapter of industrial engineering and the Halliburton Award for Excellence in Teaching in Industrial Engineering.
