NEW UNIVERSITY BROCHURE NOW AVAILABLE

The new version of the University's interpretive brochure, University of Arkansas: Profile 2002, is now available to members of the University community.

Produced by the Office of University Relations, the 4"x9," 32-page brochure describes the University in terms of its vision and goals, accomplishments, facts and figures, attributes and features.

This is the third year for the publication (which is not to be confused with the new campus Visitor's Guide recently produced by University Relations).

"Profile 2002 is conceived as a positioning and informational piece that will be useful for a variety of purposes - faculty and staff recruitment, graduate student recruitment, fund raising and grant writing projects, and so forth," said Roger Williams, associate vice chancellor for University Relations. "The brochure will work nicely for any person or group needing a thumbnail sketch of the University.

"Basically, it is designed to interpret the University in accordance with its vision as a nationally competitive, student-centered research university serving Arkansas and the world," he added.

Quantities of the brochure are being sent to deans, department heads and administrators across campus. Those who want small quantities will get them free of charge. For quantities above 50, there will be a small charge in order to recoup printing charges.

The brochure can be previewed as an Acrobat file posted at http://pigtrail.uark.edu/info/profile_2002/profile_02.pdf
