WHAT: UA Solar Boat and Team

WHO: Students, faculty and local sponsors

WHEN: Thursday, November 8, at 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.

WHERE: Bell Engineering Center Atrium . Dickson Street Entrance

Flux Cap II, the award-winning University of Arkansas solar boat, recently competed in the International Solar Splash Competition in Buffalo, N.Y. Designed and built by UA electrical and mechanical engineering students, Flux Cap II has topped teams from Louisiana State University, the University of Michigan and Columbia University in 2000 and 2001 competitions.

The Flux Cap II and numerous awards received in two years of competition will be on display. Student team members, faculty and local corporate sponsors will be on hand to demonstrate the Flux Cap II and answer questions.
