Future Leader in Counseling Education: UA Student Named National Fellow

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Monica Zozone, a doctoral student in counseling education in the College of Education and Health Professions, has been recognized as a future national leader in counseling education. She is one of only ten students nationally to be selected to be a fellow by Chi Sigma Iota, the counseling academic and professional honor society.

Chi Sigma Iota honors ten students each year as part of its program for developing leaders in the counseling profession. In addition to receiving a plaque and award, Zozone will be recognized at the national conference of the American Counseling Association in late March.

Zozone, who expects to graduate in 2002, is completing a dissertation examining the family environment of adolescent sexual offenders.
