UA'S RAZORBACK ROAD TO RE-OPEN MONDAY; STADIUM DRIVE TO CLOSE NEXT

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Razorback Road on the University of Arkansas campus will re-open to traffic Monday, July 30, while Stadium drive will close temporarily, beginning that same day.

Razorback road has been closed since July 17, from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, between Maple Street and Meadow Street, due to construction on the west side of Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium. Stadium Drive has been handling much of the detour traffic but will now close since workers will be paving it to make it more accessible.

Stadium Drive will close only for a short period of time and in two phases, allowing drivers continued access to the parking deck, according to Gary Crain, University of Arkansas Police Department public safety commander.

Crain said beginning Monday, July 30, UAPD will close Stadium Drive from Maple Street south to the parking deck entry for approximately four days. When that section is completed and re-opened, construction will continue for an additional four days from Meadow Street north to the parking deck entry, closing the road to drivers, except those traveling northbound to the parking deck.
