SCHOOL OF LAW TO HOST 'LAW DAY' OPEN HOUSE FOR THOSE INTERESTED IN LAW SCHOOL

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - The University of Arkansas School of Law will host an open house for prospective students Tuesday, March 11th beginning promptly at 10:15 a.m. in the Leflar Law Center Courtroom. The open house allows undergraduates and others a firsthand look at many of the opportunities the school offers should they choose the legal profession as a career.

Events slated for the open house include a welcome from Dean Richard Atkinson as well as presentations from the admissions office, financial aid, a panel discussion with student leaders and from Professor Kim Coats who will discuss the Mentor Program at the school. Westlaw and LexisNexis will also have information tables.

Following the informational session in the courtroom, noted Vincent Foster Professor of Legal Ethics and Professional Responsibility, Howard W. Brill will conduct a sample class for attendees over Legal Ethics to simulate a classroom atmosphere at the law school. Phi Alpha Delta legal fraternity will provide pizza for the event and also provide potential students one-on-one consultation should there be any questions afterward.

The program will conclude at 12:45 p.m. Contact David Pease at dpease@uark.edu or (479) 973-0062 for questions or further information. An RSVP to dpease@uark.edu is appreciated.
