NURSING RESEARCHERS TO MEET AT UNIVERSITY OF ARKANSAS

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Jean McSweeney, president of the Southern Nursing Research Society, is featured speaker at the 12th Annual Nursing Research Conference to be held April 21, 2003, in the University of Arkansas Student Union Theater. The conference is sponsored by the University of Arkansas, Eleanor Mann School of Nursing and the Pi Theta Chapter of the nursing honorary society, Sigma Theta Tau International.

Through the nursing research conferences, the Mann School provides an opportunity for nurses in Northwest Arkansas to share their research efforts to improve health care. The conferences also advance the mission of Sigma Theta Tau to develop leadership and scholarship in practice, education and research to enhance the health of all people.

In addition to leading the Southern Nursing Research Society, Dr. McSweeney serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Cardiovascular Nursing.
