UNIVERSITY OF ARKANSAS HOSTS LUNCHEON TO KICK OFF 2003 UNITED WAY CAMPAIGN

FAYETTEVILLE- The University of Arkansas is pleased to announce its annual United Way luncheon to kick off the 2003 campaign will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, September 15 in rooms 512 and 513 of the Arkansas Union.

Last year, the University exceeded its goal, raising more than $120,000, and Bill Warnock, co-chairperson for the 2003 United Way Campaign, feels this year's goal of $119,000 is well within reach.

"With last year's campaign, the bar was set high," Warnock said. "But I believe the generosity of the university community will shine through again this year as we work to meet our goals."

Speakers for this year's luncheon include Chancellor John A. White and members of the Washington County United Way.
