Lecture Series to Focus on Sustainability

Sustainability will affect all of our careers, all of our lives over the coming years.  The UA Center for Applied Sustainability will hold its first speaker series event at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 8, at the Reynolds Center auditorium. Andrew Ruben, vice president of corporate strategy and sustainability for Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. will speak.

Wal-Mart has undertaken many sustainability initiatives that will affect the retail industry.  They are encouraging their suppliers and customers to "think green" by reducing waste and improving energy efficiency.  This challenges, as well as opportunities, for current and future business leaders.
